Maternity and Neonatal Transport

Transport is an important element of safe and effective maternity and neonatal care, supporting the safe and timely transfer of mothers and babies in situations where their care needs are best met in another hospital with more specialised facilities.

Neonatal Transport

The Scottish Neonatal Transport Service is part of ScotSTAR (Scottish Specialist Transport and Retrieval), a division of the Scottish Ambulance Service. It is a specialist service dedicated to the safe transport of unwell newborn infants throughout Scotland and on occasion when Scottish babies require transferred further afield.
